Although there are some pretty good sound bites such as “responsibility to collaborate” and “documents as knowledge traps”, i would encourage you to spend time not only listening carefully, but also reflecting on Jordan’s observations.
You need to develop a well-tuned design sense to take full advantage of the technologies intended to support collaborative and creative knowledge work. You need to be especially careful to avoid the temptations to over-engineer the technology or the process. The examples that Jordan shares are rooted in the augmentation philosophies of Doug Engelbart rather than the automation philosophies of Frederick Taylor.
